Is Microsuction Safe

Microsuction is a quick and procedure which gently sucks the wax from the ear. It can be quite noisy, and you may also hear cracking or squeaking as the ear wax is removed.

Sometimes it can become uncomfortable if the wax is very dry and impacted. If this is the case, you may need to go away and use an olive-oil based solution to soften the wax. You can sometimes feel dizzy, but this often improves quickly.

What Equipment/Method do you use?

We use the Tympa Platform, the world’s first all-in-one ear and hearing healthcare assessment platform.

It brings together three essential tools into one portable, handheld system. From digital otoscopy to microsuction wax removal and a hearing assessment, delivering ear and hearing healthcare in the community within a single 30-minute appointment.

The Tympa Platform is supported by our Remote Review feature which enables healthcare practitioners to send images and videos from examinations securely to Tympa’s team of audiologists and ENT specialists for advice and guidance, when needed.

This means that both patients and clinicians are fully supported by experts and enables faster recommendation for further treatment solutions.

How do I Pay?

We accept payment in full at your first appointment. Payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or card payment by debit or Credit card. We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
